Squier 54 Contemporary Jazz Bass You can get a better description of this bass on Fenders website, but basically it's a 54 style Jazz Bass with contours for comfort and style. It has two concentric knobs that control both the volume and tone of each pickup (2 standard Alnico Jazz Bass pickups). Maple neck. MSRP on this guitar is $450, but I have put it through a professional upgrade as described below. The frets have been professionally individually rounded and polished and the neck sanded smooth for a nice satin finish. Action has been properly adjusted. Feels and plays like an American Professional Jazz Bass. This is a pricey "manicure" that separates cheap guitars from expensive ones. Additionally, I had official Fender pickup and bridge guards installed for that classic custom-shop look. I also installed Fretlook aged black block vinyl sticker inlays for that classic 70s neck look. They can be removed to expose the dot inlays if that is your preference. Great EQ, only problem is that it's been sitting around too long. Purchased it for a backup. However my back is out, so I stopped a long time ago. Also the perfect eq for a musicians home stereo. Lost boxes and manuals a long time ago, sure the manual can be downloaded or ordered from the company....
